Sally-Anne Upton is an Australian/British actress, whose career has encompassed screen and theatre. Her performance experience also incorporates her years as a well-respected stand-up comedian around Australia which included gigs with the Natural Normans at the Edinburgh Festival. SallyAnne's most recent screen work includes Human Error, The Clearing, Crazy Fun Park, Savage River, Fisk and Bogan, alongside Rebel Wilson. In 2019, she won the Hollywood Dreams Best Actress Award for her role in the TV pilot Legends. Sally-Anne took on one of her most challenging roles as Lucy Gambaro in award winning TV series Wentworth, from 2015-2018. Her character Juicy Lucy captivated audiences globally which developed a large fan group following. Her roles in How To Stay Married, Morning Brown Café and Superwog highlight her diversity. Her beloved character, the meddling and hilarious Vera Punt, continues to be a regular fixture on the daytime Emmy-nominated drama series Neighbours. Her film and television work spans a range of series and specials, including Studio 10, True Story, House Husbands and many more. Sal received a Musical Theatre Green Room Award nomination for her role in Cameron Mackintosh's Oliver. She played the acclaimed role as Yenta in Fiddler on the Roof (alongside Topol) and Bloody Mary in South Pacific. S She also toured both Australia and New Zealand for nearly 3 years as the lovable Mrs Brill in the Cameron Mackintosh & Disney production of Mary Poppins.
